These are my top recommendations to grab food close to campus!

  1. Pita Hot- $ 2.0mi

Pita Hot is a family operated Mediterranean fast-casual spot just down the street from campus. My favorite thing to order is the Chicken Shawarma Plate, with some veggies salad and hummus on the side.

  1. Curry Hut- $ 2.1mi

This hole in the wall spot has some of the best Indian food in the area for a very affordable price. My go to is a ‘two item plate’ with Chicken Tikka Masala, Cauliflower and Potatoes, and a side of Garlic Naan.

  1. Roll & Grill- $ 2.1mi

Roll & Grill is a local Japanese/Asian Fusion spot that has some of the best deals in the area. Its very close to campus and if you decide for one of their three “lunch specials” (lunch specials are served all day) for 6.50 you can get teriyaki chicken, a 4pc California roll, side salad, miso soup, and a side of rice.

  1. Olive Pit Mediterranean Grill- $$ 3.0mi

So far most of the places have been great take-out options, Olive Pit is a great place to sit down and enjoy delicious Mediterranean food with family and friends. Their feta fries are a great appetizer and I am a fan of their Lamb Sausage flatbread.

  1. Don Carlos- $ 3.3mi

I have spent years searching for the best breakfast burrito in Fullerton and I believe I have found it at Don Carlos. I am a sucker for the sausage burrito but my friends will argue all day long that the bacon is superior.

  1. Khan Saab Desi Craft Kitchen- $$$ 3.3mi

Khan Saab is a true hidden gem. It does rank as the most expensive spot on my list, I only make it there on special occasions, but trust me it is worth every penny. Everything I have tried blows me away. It is a small plate Pakistani/Indian restaurant that is best enjoyed ‘family style’. They do not serve alcohol but don’t let that dissuade you from enjoying their delicious mocktails.

  1. Kaori Sushi- $$ 3.4mi

My wife and I absolutely love sushi and this is by far our favorite spot around campus. Everything is super fresh, the staff is super friendly, and it has a nice cozy authentic feel. Our go to roll is the green tea roll.

  1. Clyde’s Hot Chicken- $ 3.4mi

Clyde’s is a local favorite. I wouldn’t say it is the healthiest option but it is one of the tastiest! Their hot chicken can be seriously spicy if you decide to opt for one of their hotter options. IF you end up outdoing yourself with heat one of their milkshakes can help you out.

  1. The Poke-Co- $ 3.5mi

There are a ton of Poke spots around campus but this is my favorite! Their fish is fresh, they have tons of options to add to make your bowl exactly what you want it to be. A tip for Poke-Co, they can get pretty busy so I always make sure to order ahead online.

  1. Fuoco Pizzeria Napoletana- $$ 3.6mi

Fuoco is another tasty spot to enjoy during a night out with friends. It lies in the heart of downtown Fullerton. I haven’t experienced any pizza as authentic as theirs, and they have a fantastic wine list. My go to is the Quattro Salumi. They also can make any pizza Gluten free.

  1. Green Tomato Grill- $$ 3.8mi

Green tomato is one of my go to’s and I end up here at least once a week. They have a ton of vegan and gluten free options and pride themselves on their fresh ingredients. I really enjoy their Greek chicken melt and chili verde bowl and my wife loves the thai peanut bowl. They also have some house made lemonades that are super refreshing especially after a long day of studying.

  1. Let it Brie- $$ 4.3mi

Let it Brie is a super fun spot to enjoy with friends. They specialize in elaborate charcuterie boards. While it isn’t technically a dinner spot, an evening can’t go wrong with good cheese, little meats, and some wine.

  1. Sup Noodle Bar- $$ 7.9mi

I am a big fan of Pho and this is by far my favorite spot. Their pho is always fresh, and they will refill your broth for free! I am also coincidentally a big fan of French fries and they have some great “house fries” that are nice to munch on while you wait. There can be a long line especially on weekends so make sure to factor that into your visit.

  1. The Taco Stand- $ 8.5mi

From San Diego to San Luis Obispo The Taco Stand has the best California burrito I have ever had, and I have had A LOT of California burritos. My friends tell me other stuff they have is great, and I believe them, but I can’t help but ordering the California burrito every single time. Carne Asada, guac, & French fries; it’s unbeatable.

  1. Blue Bowl Superfoods- $$ 8.7mi

If you’ve overdone it the night before with one of The Taco Stand’s burritos and want something a little cleaner look no further than an Acai Bowl from Blue Bowl Superfoods. Their Chipotle style custom orders ensure your bowl ends up just the way you like it.
