Organization and Policies
Examples of policies revised or developed to increase equity and inclusion:
- Preferred name policy
- Updated SCCO’s mission goals and objectives to include emphasis on diversity inclusion and cultural competency and humility
- Admission policy revised to accept the GRE for SCCO applications
- Updated eye clinic forms to be inclusive to the gender spectrum
- Implemented technology to increase accessibility of course materials along with universal design guidance for faculty
- Adoption of remote testing options
- Availability of all gender restrooms and lactation rooms
