Academic Success Meets Community Service
The School of Physician Assistant Studies at Marshall B. Ketchum University was founded in 2012 and offers a 27-month, post-baccalaureate program leading to the degree, Master of Medical Science.
Low student-teacher ratios (8:1), combined with collaborative community service outings, give the SPAS program a collegial, family-like atmosphere, where faculty knows you by name and provides the one-to-one attention you need to be successful.
Examples of community service opportunities shared by students and faculty include conducting health screenings, educating children, and serving at local food banks.
Innovation Through Interprofessional Education
Taught by MBKU faculty, interprofessional education is an innovative teaching approach that emphasizes communication, safety and quality of care. It prepares students of different disciplines to work in teams to deliver the best possible patient experience and outcomes.
