Crowds formed early in need of healthcare support through the second annual Rotary Care event held at Richmond Elementary School in Fullerton on June 15. Optometric Interns and faculty from the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University provided vision exams to local families and other organizations provided dental and medical screenings, including mammograms.
The Rotary Club of Fullerton sponsored the free community health day and the following organizations provided needed services: AYUDA Dental Clinic; Cottage Dental; Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University; St. Joseph Health – St. Jude Medical Center; Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC; and YWCA of North Orange County. In just its second year, the event drew more patients than could be served.
Ketchum University's new Eye Force One mobile vision van was rolled out on an early mission to serve the community. More than 100 vision examinations and 99 pairs of glasses were provided.
