The new academic year is right around the corner and the MBKU Student Association has plenty in store. We'll introduce some of these #FacesofMBKU throughout the next month. Here to kick it off is MBKUSA President, Taylor Austin:
"Hi everyone! My name is Taylor Austin and I am a 3rd year student in the College of Pharmacy. I am very honored to be your MBKU Student Association President for the 2020-2021 school year! Before starting my pharmacy journey, I was quite set on becoming a Sign Language Interpreter, though many of my friends thought I should become a Veterinarian due to my love for animals. It was not until I volunteered at an opportunity center in New Mexico that I realized my passion for healthcare. After various volunteer experiences and working as a pharmacy technician, I was confident that I wanted to be a Pharmacist. Before I knew it, I was admitted into the College of Pharmacy at Marshall B. Ketchum University.
My experience at MBKU has been amazing so far! I have made great connections, developed as a student leader, and made lifelong friends. As MBKUSA President, my goal is to strategize plans, along with our other student leaders, to ensure a great year and an enjoyable graduate school experience. Our Extracurricular, Student Health, and Student Relations Committees have plans to host some of our most enjoyable events such as Club Info Night, Spirit Week, Health Promotion Week, Talent Show, and so much more! We are determined to celebrate all of you as hard working students whether it be remote or face-to-face. Because no matter the distance, we are all in this TOGETHER! #MBKUProud "
