After a 3-month quarantine, we were finally able to come back to Fullerton to do boot camps for Primary Care, Contact Lens and Vision Therapy clinics. These past 5 weeks have been mostly online lectures/labs ? and a few in-person skills trainings. This isn’t the most ideal way to learn for such a hands-on profession, but it’s worked well for what we can do ?
When the clinic reopened, important safety protocols were enforced such as a temperature ? and symptom screening when you first enter, a one way walking route ??♀️ ??, phoropter and slit lamp shields, alcohol spray bottles in each exam room, Saran Wrap for our keyboards, and much more. Feeling safe in clinic is really important to me and I’m glad our school is setting great examples of how to protect everyone.
