Congratulations to Dr. Amir Shirazi, Assistant Professor in the College of Pharmacy, on receiving the 2021 New Investigator Award for his proposal, Tamoxifen-peptide Nanostructures for Efficient Delivery to Resistant Cells. Sponsored by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), the New Investigator Award provides start-up funding for the independent research programs of early-career pharmacy faculty. Dr. Shirazi recently chatted with us for Ketchum Magazine about his pharmacy career in academia and clinical settings, navigating the pandemic shutdown, and pharmacy’s place at the forefront of public health and research.
