What is the PANCE Exam?
The Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE) is a certification exam taken by a physician assistant before they can be licensed in the U.S. for the first time after graduating from an accredited program.
The exam consists of 300 multiple-choice questions delivered in five 60-minute, 60-question blocks. The tests are computer-based and consist of practical medical and surgical questions.
PANCE exams are administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). You can find information on the NCCPA website about the PANCE Exam here.
