Each cohort has approximately 25-40 students. This small class size allows you to get to know your classmates and faculty well. These professional relationships lead to big opportunities for our students upon graduation.

We offer a 4-year PharmD curriculum that provides students with the foundational knowledge required in pharmacy practice in the courses, followed by advanced clinical application instruction in the later years. An overview of the pharmacy curriculum can be found here

About Applying and Interviewing

Applications are accepted via PharmCAS from July to June of any admissions cycle. See our How to Apply page for current application cycle dates.

MBKU COP does not require a bachelor's degree in order to apply, but it is recommended.

The College of Pharmacy recognizes that a variety of experiences can greatly add to an applicant's maturity and application competitiveness. Therefore, no preference is given to any individual undergraduate institution or major.

The admissions process is holistic and does not have a minimum GPA.  However, competitive applicants will have an overall GPA of 3.0 or better.

The PCAT is not required.

MBKU prefers one letter be written by a pharmacist and one from a science faculty. Other recommendations should be from an immediate supervisor, a healthcare provider (not your own) and a professor.

Advanced Placement (AP) credit is accepted for one non-science prerequisite course; however, PharmCAS does not include these course proficiencies in their GPA calculations.

While virtual interviews are available, we encourage you to visit in person and experience MBKU for yourself—take in the sights and sounds of campus, connect with the energy of our community, and gain a deeper sense of what makes MBKU unique.

Yes, MBKU uses rolling admissions, which means we process and consider applications as they are received. Seats are limited, so we encourage you to apply early!

Interviews are conducted throughout the application cycle. For this cycle's interview dates, visit our How to Apply page.

All prerequisites must be completed at a regionally accredited institution in the United States.

Area Around the Campus

More than half of our students live within one mile of campus in the many apartments, condominiums, and homes surrounding the campus.

While reliable, consistent transportation will be required during the clinical year, MBKU is located in an affordable, safe, residential area where pedestrian traffic is common.

Within a mile of campus there are a few grocery stores, pharmacies, cafes and restaurants, and a few department stores. Everything you need is within walking distance, but to get to the beach, mountains, Los Angeles, etc. you will need a car or take public transportation (bus, train).
