Congratulations to Van Cathy Pham, a third-year student in the College of Pharmacy, on receiving the United States Public Health Service Excellence in Public Health Pharmacy Award! This award was established to recognize pharmacy students that make significant contributions to public health, which includes advancing the objectives of Healthy People 2030, the Surgeon General’s priorities, and the pharmacy profession. Her achievements supported public health and illustrated the importance of incorporating core public health principles into today’s pharmacy practice! #MBKUProud

Dr. Mark Nakano, Associate Dean for Clinics at Southern California College of Optometry and Co-Chair of the legislative committee for the California Optometric Association took his place as one of the first ODs to administer the COVID-19 vaccine in California this week, “People need this vaccine. If I can help and be part of the solution, just like other optometrists across the nation and across the world, we can spread our knowledge and our capabilities.
