Eye and vision care will be provided to the underserved at the new Buena Park Community Clinic by doctors and optometric interns from the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University.  "As a leader in providing eye and vision care we are proud to offer services at this new community clinic," said MBKU VP of Interprofessional Affairs John Nishimoto, O.D., M.B.A.

The Buena Park Community Clinic had a soft opening with key partners and community members on hand to tour the new spaces. All were excited to see the progress; especially in the optometry exam rooms.  Attending the June 11 event from Marshall B. Ketchum University were:  President Kevin Alexander, O.D., Ph.D.; VP of Interprofessional Affairs John Nishimoto, O.D., M.B.A.; Assistant Professor Audrey Chen, O.D.; VP University Advancement Paul Stover, M.Ed.; VP and Dean of Academic Affairs Morris Berman, O.D., M.S.; Director of Special Clinical Programs Michele Whitecavage; and Director of Multi-Media Services Matt Breneman.

The Buena Park Community Clinic is located at 8352 Commonwealth Ave., Buena Park, on the campus of Giving Children Hope. In addition to eye and vision care the facility offers primary care services including health promotion and prevention, diagnosis and treatment, and health education.  The clinic is open Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Vision services are provided on Fridays by appointment.  For more information or to make an appointment call 714.503.0772.
